Introduction to Hypnosis Institute

“Our existence is dedicated to reshaping your life into a more beautiful landscape through hypnosis.”

The Hypnosis Institute, a Sub-Affiliate of Cambridge International College in Hong Kong, stands as the sole institution dedicated to hypnotherapy training in the region. It also holds the distinction of being the only Overseas College affiliated with Study House (Quality Licence Scheme). Under the esteemed guidance of founder Charles Leung, who has been invited by The Association for Integrative Medicine to serve as the Specialist Hypnotherapy Chief Instructor of Greater China Region, the Hypnosis Institute offers the first-ever The Association for Integrative Medicine certified hypnotherapy specialization program in Asia. This comprehensive program covers Paediatric Hypnotherapy, Internal Family Systems Hypnotherapy, Stress and Insomnia Relief Hypnotherapy, and Interpersonal Hypnotherapy.

Previously, aspiring registered hypnotherapists had to seek training in Europe or North America. Now, they can pursue their studies right here in Hong Kong at our institute. Additionally, students can apply their accumulated hours from our hypnotherapy courses toward obtaining the Chartered Master Counsellor certification (Specializing in Hypnosis). This certification, which recognizes 110 hours of learning, opens doors for those interested in entering the counseling field.

The Hypnosis Institute’s mission is to empower individuals to coexist with their emotions, integrate them into daily life, and address sensitive issues that are often difficult to discuss. We are committed to nurturing a new generation of hypnotherapists and workshop facilitators. Our regular Certified Hypnotherapist Certificate courses provide an international standard of training. Beyond the classroom, we foster a community of hypnotherapists through practical groups, research team and networking events.

At the Hypnosis Institute, we firmly believe that everyone should harness the power of hypnosis to enhance their well-being. Sigmund Freud’s iceberg theory suggests that much of our behavior is driven by the subconscious mind—beyond the reach of everyday awareness. This hidden part of the mind stores our beliefs, emotions, and memories, shaping how we feel, think, and act.
Yet, many struggle with emotional blocks, unresolved childhood experiences, or broken relationships, often without understanding why. While willpower and logic may help on the surface, deeper change requires access to what lies beneath.

May Motivation and Sleep Become Allies in Everyone’s Daily Life
Stress management and sleep are like twin brothers—they can support each other or they can clash. There is a close connection between stress and insomnia. The “sleep-needing brain” deals with a large amount of information during the day, and prolonged high tension from daytime stress can significantly impact sleep quality. During sleep, the parasympathetic nervous system helps alleviate daytime stress. Poor sleep quality is often a result of stress, and insufficient sleep puts the body in a stressed state. In today’s fast-paced society, practical psychological interventions like hypnotherapy can comprehensively address both stress management and sleep issues.

May we cross the thorny path of “getting better” and walk on the flowery path of “being accepted”!
Internal Family Systems (IFS), developed by Dr. Richard Schwartz, suggests that we all hold different “parts” inside—some protect, some carry pain, and some are still young and wounded. These inner parts shape how we feel, react, and relate to others.
Yet many people find themselves stuck in self-sabotage, emotional patterns, or repeating relationship struggles, without understanding why. Beneath these reactions are often unheard inner children still longing for love, safety, or healing.
The Certified Inner Child Transformational Coach Course offers practical tools to reconnect with these parts. Through guided dialogue and experiential learning, participants learn to listen, comfort, and transform their inner child—unlocking healing, clarity, and emotional freedom.
